The song 1985 was released in 2004 which is 19 years after 1985 and 22 years before now.
The song is Cbat, watch for the key changes and try to keep up
He’d introduce the music industry to the hip new sound of dubstep
I hope the advice he’d give is, “mind those Tide pods.”
Marty, please take me with you.
95 certainly feels like distant past now. like completely different world
'95 was only 10 years after '85 (which was the middle of the 80s) and is closer to 1969 than it is to now.
Abd we would get a scene where Doc Brown disbelievers that Trump is president
This made me feel old
I need to go take my medicine.

He would play Daft Punk and they wouldn’t be ready for it.
Nah dubstep
Daft! Daft! It’s Marvin. Your cousin, Marvin Punk?
Naw, he’d play something more incomprehesible to the 90s, like skrillex or the later evolutions of the genre.
I feel like Dillon Francis is the right level of “starts out normal enough, then devolves into chaos”
“I Need YOU YOu You you yo y-”
Maybe some manic hyperpop
Or some kpop
Kpop started in the 90s with Seo Taiji and Boys.
Hyperpop didn’t start until the 2010s.
Not quite the same timeframe, but that clip of the surviving members of The Doors listening to Skrillex is one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever seen.
Opens with Marty mumble rapping in fron of a giant speaker that explodes.
I feel like he’d start talking in brain rot and be like, “You’re kids are gonna love it.”
“Ladies and gentlemen of the class of ‘99… wear… sunscreen.”
Daft Punk were already around in 95 though
Yeah, basically all dancey electronic music was invented in the eighties-nineties, little remained to discover. Idm and breakcore already came about with the crazy structures. Dubstep is the one major missing link, but it’s pretty straightforward evolution from dnb.
Fun fact: Scorn’s ‘Greetings from Birmingham’ came out in 2000 (made by former Napalm Death drummer Mick Harris), but somehow the dubstep genre got entirely hijacked by the London people later on.
Harder!

Please for the love of all the gods do not give studio execs this idea or they’ll be scrabbling for a remake.
The original director and screenwriter aren’t allowing anyone to do a remake, so I guess we are safe as long as they are alive.

Heroes
Robin Williams did Aladdin on the proviso nobody would do a remake.
Edit: Okay, I’m wrong. It happens. Sometimes a lot.
It was on the proviso that Disney approve that his voice acting - and the Genie character - were not used in any of the film’s promotional material. They did it anyway, hence why he didn’t voice the Genie for the 2nd film voiced by Dan Castanella (The Return of Jafar), and came back for the third (King of Thieves) after a public apology from the Disney head at the time, and $1,000,000.

Did that include a Live Action remake?
Explicitly a live action remake
Do The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves not count?
Scrambling?
Nope, scrabbling. The film will be written using whatever words the writers use in their scrabble game
They will be scrambling to scrabble a script…I see.
I hope they cobble something together that is somewhat comprehensible.
Scrabbling a script isn’t something you can to while scrambling. You end up dropping way too many letters and your dialog ends up consisting of mostly two and three letter words.
Part II would be basically be Terminator and they’d still promise flying cars and hover boards.
Here’s a few events from 1885:
Mark Twain publishes “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”
Washington Monument dedicated
Convicted murderer gets spared from death when gallows malfunction
Apache leader Geronimo flees Arizona reservation, setting off panic
Statue of Liberty arrives in New York Harbor
Chinese miners are massacred in Wyoming Territory
No, not 1885. 1926. It would be Gatsby era.
Doc would be stockpiling gold for the Depression and driving an early electric Model T.
OH! Right! It would be 100 years earlier. I am not a smart man.
Oh well.
It’s all good. The joy of realization was a gift you gave me today.
I mean, I would watch it.
Marty would be teenager from today. He’d be livestreaming Doc Brown’s experiment. He’d see his dad watching the dancing baby in the 90s and be like, “I’ve seen this meme, it’s classic”. They’d be like, “wtf is a meme”.
Well, there was the entire newsgroup alt.memetics…
“Oh he means an image macro”
Super Mario Brothers was released closer to WWII than to today.
Joe Biden was born closer to the inauguration of Abraham Lincoln than to his own.
I haven’t heard this one before. Excellent.

Blame it on the Rain. I’d be like “oh I’ve seen these guys before, they lip sync and the guy on the left is about to die.”
Dad crawls out from under the desk
“Hey hey hey, now we can surf the World Wide Web!”
Marty: “Hey I’ve seen this funny image before.”
Kid: “How have you seen it before? It just got posted.”
Marty: “Yeah, it’s a… repost.”
Kid: “What’s a repost?”
Wow what a reference lol
