Just for those who don’t know: Maj. Bong was the highest scoring American ace of WWII with 40 (IIRC) kills. He mostly flew the P-38 in combat and was killed test-flying the P-80 shortly after the war.

I apologize profusely for my bad taste in humor.
In my hometown we have two bridges crossing the harbour. One is named after this guy, “the bong bridge”. The other is the “high bridge”.
So we have the bong and the high bridge.

The “high bridge” is just the nick name that absolutely everyone uses. It has a real name, but nobody cares.
There’s a state park in Wisconsin named Richard Bong…
Better than that, it’s the “Bong Recreation Area”. I searched it and one of the suggestions was “bong repair near me”.
