Reallllly thin.

Reallllly thin.

what Buddahriffic said. :) I ain’t got that kind of time. (Caveat–am looking at little things occasionally on my phone–this must be a nightmare for people using YT TV.)

My solution is to just close youtube. There’s nothing on there I want to see that badly.

Hmm, this thing is on my work laptop…

I trust my billion-dollar a year law firm’s VPN to block out this nonsense; we’ve got clients who are way more worried about our security than the government sniffing around.

And this is why you should never install anything from this administration.

😠😠 (scowling at reddit, not at you)

Well, sure, but reddit (and FB, and Insta, and discord, and bluesky and mastadon and twitter and just about everything else out there, probably including Lemmy) are privately owned. Their sandboxes. Now, something like IRC or Usenet (which I still miss) is another matter.

well, it’s a private platform; their sandbox, their rules. It would be nice if they could enforce them equitably, though.

definitely. Going public helped the shareholders, not the users.

they banned me for violations on my “other accounts.”
I don’t have any other accounts.

At which point I will be off Reddit entirely

I was class of '80, so that tracks.

I don’t think glow sticks had been invented when I was in high school…actually, I take that back: my friend had some that she got from her father who was an engineer in some factory. They were not for general consumption back then.
hey, at least there was an attempt to keep them out of the middle of the sidewalk. (Don’t get me wrong, people leaving these things all over the place makes me crazy. We’ve got the damn electric scooters strewn around, too.)

He sits in a big gold office in a big white house.

LOL I don’t even know what that is 😄

That whole API shitshow didn’t help…

I was banned for prohibited content on my “other accounts.”
I only have one account. (Appeal was denied, and I suspect the entire operation was done by bots. It literally said, “go look at your other accounts to see what you did wrong.”)
Meanwhile, another user over there is advocating violence against a very well known public figure (I’m sure you can guess what and who), and the comment is still up and the poster is not banned. -throws up hands-
Good lord, what’s wrong with the other two?
