So I was misinformed on the percent of soy that was used from the oil industry. It still stands that most of it rather than being consumed by humans is eaten by animals. And not only is soy a high emission oil but that high percentage of the soy plant only makes up a small fraction of the feed by cattle.
the vast majority of what is consumed by animals would be waste from oil production. so humans do consume those beans, but give the leftovers to livestock. humans use 93 % of the soy, and any industrial waste is what is given to livestock
ultimately, the vast majority of the weight of the crop does go to animals, but between what people use for industry, what people eat, and the amount that is put into an oil press, people use 93% of the crop and the industrial waste from human use is what is fed to animals.

Do you have a reference for that. All the sources say the majority of the plant goes to animals.
