we could, but my wife is not the most into computers. a big reason we have not switched to linux is i barely remember how to use that CLI. I could not coach her through it right now at all. she did not like having to log out to get into her account, and what we have works. there are probably less condescending ways to mention computer functions, but this is the programming community i guess

Due to the original post, I assumed you were on linux, which is pushing the use of user accounts pretty aggressively.
