minus-squareLocalAreaMan@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up9arrow-down9·10 days agoThe best Canadian whiskey is still bad. It’s all born of prohibition era swill. 🧐
minus-squarescrodumb@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up5arrow-down2·10 days agoI cannot enjoy rye whiskey at all. I’ll tolerate scotch or Irish but I’m a bourbon man through and through. I have an unopened bottle of pre-Trump Woodford waiting for that glorious day.
minus-squareTheGoldenV@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up9·10 days agoHaven’t had a drop since they advertised for him. Too bad, it was good stuff before they went MAGAt.
minus-squarescrodumb@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up4·10 days agoHence me exercising extreme discipline for when the news arrives😎 I’ll happily turn it into urine then.
minus-squareStabbingSky@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkarrow-up4·10 days agoRye is my goto backpacking whiskey, but otherwise I’m a bourbon man. Or was, I guess, since I’ve retired from drinking.
minus-squareBarneyPiccolo@lemmy.todaylinkfedilinkarrow-up1·9 days agoWhy would you drink different whiskey while backpacking?
minus-squareStabbingSky@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkarrow-up4·9 days agoOriginally it’s because the brand name kinda aligned with the activity (Bulleit Frontier). I was wanting to try a new whiskey, so it made sense. Then it just became what I grabbed before a trip because it was familiar and tasty. It’s also partly because I can drink Bourbon like water, but rye and scotch not so much.
minus-squareLocalAreaMan@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down2·10 days agoNectar of the gods right there.
minus-squarephar@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down1·10 days agoNo, it’s just most of the Canadian whiskey that makes it to the US is bad. There’s lots of good whiskey from Canada.
