Let me go check my lemon tree, it has been 5 minutes since we looked at it.

I wonder if some people find mayo easier to use because they spread the right amount on easier than with butter. Room temp butter spread thinly turns out awesome, but trying to spread it when cold it is very hit and miss. mayo is just more consistent, and I wonder if that is the reason it works better for some people.
Butter done right turns out better than any of my attempts with mayo ever did.
In case the question wasn’t joking…
The real one is going to be made of a specific type of steel or other metal that is likely heat treated for specific properties under stress. It is also machined to extremely tight tolerances, because spinning gears can’t just be ‘close enough’. Not something a person can make at home unless they personally build custom parts as a home based business.
Only because of how fucking horrible nearly every one of them has been.

4·3 days agoOn my phone trying to log jnto office.com would give me a splash page to install the copilot app with no option to just use Outlook. Found out if you go directly to the app subdomain (outlook.office365.com) you could log in normally through the browser. Computer didn’t prompt for the copilot app of course, just the phone.
Wonder if that option will go away now. If so, I won’t be checking for scheduled meetings on my phone anymore.

12·3 days agoI thought it was Office 365.
Oh well, guess they doubled down on stupid names.
Congratulations!
People who haven’t upgraded in 5+ years and need a newer PC also need to buy RAM.

Technology@lemmy.world•The dominoes are falling: motherboard sales down 50% as PC enthusiasts are put off by stinking memory pricesEnglish
0·15 days agoI only change motherboards when moving up to the next RAM format or CPU chipset. I stick with AMD due to cost and low thermals, and while their CPU generations shared the same interface I had one mobo for DDR3, one for DDR4, etc.
Can’t wrap my head around constantly upgrading the mobo to be honest. Sure, they have lots of features but I haven’t seen a situation where a mobo would be an upgrade worth doing without also upgrading everything else.
