4·17 days agoErrr…OpenSuSE always did this i guess because I’ve never been punted back to a login if Firefox (or anything really) crashed.
Literally opened this thread only to say this. Check engine light means the engine is doing something to increase emissions, up to and including misfires and such. Can be harmful but over a somewhat longer period of time than being out of oil.

I’ve got the same one. It is awesome. I will pay for someone to repair it if it breaks. 720p of course but all my stuff is DVD so who cares.
Searxng was working pretty well for me until everyone started blocking even my own instance.
This is really when the old web rings would be nice to have back. It was a web because sites linked to each other. Less efficient but at least things could be found, versus the gated access we have now.

I’ve got an Acer Aspire One that is slow but i Iove the form factor. It is really good for email and document tasks, just really light and comfortable and the battery lasts ages. Gonna be sad when 32bit ends
For development? I’ve been using old Dell Latitudes. They are easier to work on than HPs, generally sturdy, and Debian runs great on them. You can get a used E7440 for next to nothing, and old RAM is still cheap.
I don’t know what this one has but Mint runs OK on it.
If you aren’t running anything more than Minecraft for games you can get old Dell Latitudes for next to nothing. The downfall is that SSDs are $$$ now.
