Would you happen to have a source for that? Admittedly this is based on nothing more than my anecdotal experience living through it, but I owned a PocketPC back then and I distinctly remember feeling like I was in the minority compared to Palm or Blackberry.

What the Hell could it possibly ever even need a firmware update for?! The vast majority of headsets aren’t even physically capable of having firmware (because they connect using 3.5mm analog audio jacks), let alone receiving an update for it!

I use a mouse that doesn’t require anything beyond the generic USB HID driver that comes with Linux in the first place.

I would genuinely love to find a job coding FORTRAN, mainly because it means I’d almost certainly be doing some kind of scientific computing. However, browsing it requires an active ”Profil Zaufany” (exactly translated to English as Trusted Profile) account, which is not available for registration for people outside of Poland.
