I don’t find this being an issue when I have to charge it maybe once a month. Not talking about IEMs of course.

I’ve replaced fb2k with DeaDBeeF entirely.
I was using a gtx 670 for about eight months after switching from win10 to arch two summers ago and it was suffering, especially with a triple-monitor setup with one being 34".
The old drivers are really bad, I had to resolve conflicts for games, vulkan was sketchy, putting the monitors to sleep would reset window locations and monitor alignment etc. You will likely not run into many of these issues as you don’t game, but I also suspect these may not be specific to arch.
I ended up pulling the trigger on a 9070XT and it’s been smooth sailing since. I’ll probably not do an upgrade again in the next ten years.

I did the same last spring when prices started normalizing and tending more towards msrp. Almost a year later and I’m still sitting on a now 11yo cpu with new a GPU.
I should have ordered RAM+mobo during bfcm but only managed to squeeze a CPU into the budget at that time. I’ll be sitting on the old CPU a little longer.
Edit: this might be a good time to buy an Intel Arc GPU.

It’s not that dire, unless you love seeding torrents and you encounter other peers that don’t have port forwarding either, or you are hosting something.
I ended up getting one that could still be used when plugged in via usb (micro heh), just like wireless mice.
But either way, the sound quality, no matter how hard it tries, is crap compared to a good analogue headset.
