Since I invariably wind up getting “name suits” types of comments, here’s the explanation behind it:
Around the turn of the millennium, I was trying to come up with a username to use on a particular site that had a shortish character count limit for usernames. My goal was something related to the fact that I would often be making my points in arguments with “holier-than-thou” types by taking what they were saying, and turning it on its head so the offensive stuff was directed back at them.
I also happened to learn shortly beforehand that many years ago “'ape” was somewhat commonly used as a verb to mean “imitate” or “copy.”
I’m sure you can figure the rest out.

Enjoyable sex is enjoyable sex, regardless of the number, type, or genders the participants choose to include. As long as everybody involved wants it to happen that way (and it’s a relatively informed choice), what business is it of anybody else’s? Everyone has their personal preferences in a multitude of areas, and sex is just one of them. If you want your preferences to be considered valid and acceptable, then you must allow others to have the same rights.

What are the odds that a significant portion of Lemmy/Piefed users weren’t at one time exactly that? I figure that number’s gotta be pretty low.

Those features aren’t free though – according to a note on the Void Phone website, “basic MDM costs are $2.50 per phone/month.”
At the 100pc minimum that’s a guaranteed extra $250/mo cost. I know that’s relatively cheap in enterprise terms, but what a racket for something that’s mostly going to be “set it & forget it.”
I’d say “sure!” Then amaze them with how good and quick I am by telling them an hour or two later to "try it now "
What you describe sounds more like a “competence” issue than a skill issue - can’t have the latter without first having the former.
You would have preferred being uninformed? Yeah her methods and timing might not have been the best, but take it from someone who knows - you were better off.
