islop is a convenience, but you should fear the day you lose the original and the only way to get that info is some opaque islop oracle
GPUs aren’t just for graphics. They speed up vector operations, including those used in “AI stuff”. I just never heard of NPUs before, so I imagine they may be hardwired for graph architecture of neural nets instead of linear algebra, maybe, so that’s why they can’t be used as GPUs.
I think this is a classic of privatization of commons, so that nobody can compete with them later without free public datasets…
But can anyone train on them? What happens to the original dataset?
Can the NPU at least stand in as a GPU in case you need it?

Hm, playing devil’s advocate, I think it is because the minus has not been defined as a string operation (e.g. it could pop the last char), so it defaults to the mathematical operation and converts both inputs into ints.
The first is assumed to be a concat because one of the parcels is a string…
