It’s probably not the tech making the decision. It was probably the tech attempting to request one, (because they were out of/low on stock,) and being told by management to send it back as-is instead.

“Replacing that stick of RAM will cost more than the entire original purchase price of the laptop, so just say it’s faulty and let them figure it out. Never mind the fact that we sold them a laptop with faulty RAM.”
Japan actually made me laugh, simply because the entire country somehow walked all the way around to the other side of the continent.

The dude committed suicide two days after the cops raided him. So at most, it would be his estate suing people for libel/slander. But you usually need to prove damages (like losing your job, or being forced to move) to win a slander lawsuit, and it’s hard to claim that a dead guy was monetarily damaged by someone saying things about him.
My local BBQ place will do a full 3-meat (and sides) catering spread for 20 people for $350. If you’re paying $300 for 6 people, you’re getting ripped off.
TL;DR it’s six paragraphs just fucking read it.

Pretty much this. I’d copy anything I want to keep onto a temporary drive, (cloud storage, a USB drive, second SSD, etc), then use it as an excuse to refresh my install. Then just copy everything from that temporary storage.

Nothing is mediocre about it. All of the “best” browsers are based on FF’s Gecko engine. Maybe they have complaints about Mozilla or the weird stuff they’ve been doing with FF recently. But the actual Gecko engine is solid, and it’s what all the best browsers are based on.
Point to where the “No Politics” rule is.

Exactly. There is zero way for those glasses to remain HIPAA-compliant, because everything you do is uploaded to Meta’s servers.

You’re correct about the first part. The intent was for the devil’s part to be technically correct, but discordant and forgettable.
The call and response was because they were references to other famous tunes. Fire On The Mountain was an old folk tune. House Of The Rising Sun was an old folk tune. Etc… They were meant to be familiar and melodic snippets that people from his area would recognize, to contrast the devil’s forgettable solo.

You should read the article. Linus simply said that LLMs have been useful for finding more bugs, which has led to larger patches (because each patch contains more fixes). They aren’t vibe coding the kernel.
I saw some post the other day by a teenaged girl, saying something along the lines of “y’all are mixing up the Challenger explosion and 9/11. There’s NO WAY teachers actually turned the classroom TVs on to watch the towers fall. You millennials didn’t watch it happen live.”
Oh girl, we absolutely watched it live.
If you see a guillotine and immediately assume it’s for you, maybe you should reconsider some life choices. Because the vast majority of people would see a guillotine and go “oh that’s fucking cool” instead of assuming it was there specifically for them.
Sort of. It’s the Hyrule Castle map in Super Smash Bros. Melee. So the map is based on a Zelda game, but the screenshot isn’t from a Zelda game.

Hey now, it isn’t only Nazis…
It’s also an overwhelming amount of CSAM…
It probably depends on where you live. If you’re really anywhere outside of the south, it can fit any of the southern states. Mississippi, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, etc… Basically any state that fell prey to the Southern Strategy.
A user who shows up every time her mental health takes a dive. She inevitably ends up shitposting about whatever her next horny escapade is going to be, or what she just did. The stories are often fairly wild, so lots of users tend to debate about the veracity of the posts. She apparently gets around fairly well. Lots of “I’m about to take three dicks in the middle of the woods” type of posts. And then she’ll delete her account when she gets her mental health in check. Then she comes back a few weeks later when she gets bored, and the entire cycle repeats.
She’s a sort of resident novelty, like the old Unidan, Gallowboob, Shitty_Watercolour, the jumper cables guy, _vargas_, etc that were staples on Reddit at one time.
I’m fully convinced that my user tags are some sort of Death Note for her accounts. Every single time I finally give her a user tag to be able to recognize her new account, she deletes her account like a day later.
I tagged her like two days ago. And then yesterday she posted about deleting her account.
I’ve joked about finding unopposed spots and running against them. Not because I want to win, but just because I want to force them to actually work for their spot.
