From a different perspective, renting a pc and having a thin client would be a lot better for the environment and cheaper for the consumer.
Sadly I don’t think that’s the goal of these companies

Meshtastic is just as susceptible to listening and isn’t perfect at encryption or anonymity but should be another tool to consider when cellphone towers are down or otherwise unusable.

Yes. You can get them cheap online and they have a built in “encryption” function that isn’t well protected but might prevent people from listening in realtime.

Shouldn’t know how to cancel/disable onedrive either then and doesn’t need to worry about this fear mongering article.

During user profile creation she accepted that option.

As the admin you should fix onedrive seamless sso so th yr don’t need to worry about signin.

That data isn’t the problem. It’s the backed up folders that’s the problem.

Last time I set up a user account onedrive was not forced. It’s suggested and you had to click a few buttons to turn it on.
I wonder if other apps that do cloud offload work in the same way: disable service and you lose cloud-sync’d content unless you downloaded it ahead of time.
I’m also curious if onedrive prompts you to save/downlod your data first.

Garbage article, but I think what they are saying is if you don’t restore your files from backup before you disable your onedrive backup, then you lose your files.
This sounds like user error.
Run windows in a vm for work.
Took me for a spin.

Love this. I don’t know much about risc-v but I’d love to see it disrupt the market a bit.
The issue was that they werent letting customers change or decline a component that updates regularly and they weren’t testing it hemselves.
I was forced to switch to CS and there are better products and managed edr out there.
