sorry, I meant ‘AI feature that “undressed” people on command’ (from the article). No idea if it’s an actual button, I don’t use Xhitter. But I edited my comment now.

Cynical take: They only did it openly to draw attention to it & pull in more subscribers. Because you can be sure Xhitter’s clientele loves that feature.
“image generation and editing are currently limited to paying subscribers,” a change from the previous setup in which anyone could summon the system by tagging it in a post and asking for a picture.

But it will certainly drive up subscriptions 😉 … 🤮

Sheesh. So far I thought it’s just one of those things Xhitter’s AI image generator can be told to do. But to have a specific <undress> button feature … 🤮 Was it point-and click even?
Nothing says “we’re for male sexists only, and we know it” like adding a specific <undress> button feature.
It’s Schrödinger’s satire.
Lunduke is mentioned 10s into the video and Linux Sucks is his series of videos.
… “The end of Linux has already happened”, and he’s serious about it, complaining about pretty much everything.
He’s definitely anti-woke in all its colorful facets, self-confesssed “conservative” and hides behind constant “I’m not political” statements to continue pushing clearly political opinion.
He is the Alex Jones of the Linux community.
All this becomes very clear in the first 10 min of the video.

Everybody must jump onto the AI train no matter how often it derails!
So who profits?
The unholy alliance of tech giants and government.
Who loses?
Everybody else. This is US tax money being thrown into a money burning machine.
As soon as I saw the name Lunduke - the Linux community’s Alex Jones for at least a decade - just not sure how much parody and how much trolling this is.

That last sentence. I admit, I thought they were serious. Now imagine how many people thought it was also the truth.
It’s the bitcoin bubble all over again.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang:
We’re basically holding the planet together
Good ol’ Muskrat:
Optimus will ultimately be better than the best human surgeon with a level of precision that is impossible — that is beyond human… People always talked about eliminating poverty, but actually Optimus will actually eliminate poverty.
Plus some “AI is perfect” bullshit from a few others who should know better. But they have to keep the bubble intact.

And they cite Vivaldi as their go-to browser. European, sure, but not open source and based on Chromium. I’m always skeptical of Vivaldi users; they seem to value nostalgia (remember Opera?) over facts.
You clicked “Accept all” ONCE in a real hurry, huh?
This used to give me nightmares. Then I learned to love the bomb: Clean out everything each time you close your browser.
This is so dystopian, even before ICE comes into play.
There are several more examples of apps, sites, inventions and FOSS community efforts to deal with surveillance, just read the article. As bad as the circumstances leading to it are, it’s good that such projects get more public attention.
