At the center of the criticism is the planned Article 88c, which provides for special relief for data processing in the context of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The experts Peter Hense and David Wagner warn here of an “unlimited special legal zone”. Since the term “AI system” is extremely broadly defined, companies could in the future declare almost any automated data processing as AI-relevant in order to evade strict data protection rules. This would replace the technology-neutral logic of the GDPR with a technology-specific privilege that primarily benefits service providers.
Cool. So I can get one for my massive Clit as well then? I want everyone to pay respect and marvel at it.
I somehow think that all these proposals for chatcontrol were not just enabled by the rise of AI, but were meant to facilitate it. Personal message scanning would be a treasure trove for anybody interested in organic training data since all public social media (reddit, ahem) have been more or less poisoned by ai messages and slop.
We don’t have enough energy to not burn russian gas.
We need to build energy guzzling AI data centers.
EU really don’t need AI, increased data collection and spying on citizens.
Focus on energy security before pondering how to waste it.
Fuck no. The fact that AI needs special carve-outs from existing laws just goes to show how fucking stupid and gross it is.
