A few literally made statements that included “I’m Irish and so I know how bad this is”
The plight of Palestine is well known in Ireland, but the objection comes from seeing something bad happening, and anyone from anywhere can do that.
True. But it did increase the odds of this happening, that’s what the meme makes fun of.
As someone whose family fled Ireland because of British persecution occupation and colonial violence and deliberate starvation yeah that is probably part of it.
