There’s just no way you’re not gonna have anything to recount. No way. Or do you see your friends every day? Is that it? Is this a small town thing? How is this normal? Is this an American thing? Americans tend to behave in strange ways like this. It’s an American thing isn’t it? It’s King of the Hill. Did I get it? Is it King of the Hill?

My tedious job. Then I get home and work out, make dinner and clean up, maybe have an hour or so to watch a show or game or something.

We do other things beside football like darts, or bowling, or have a backyard fire, or boardgames, but for the most part… yea. If somebody’s working on an interesting project or is doing something cool we’ll talk about that.

It’s not that we’re embarrassed, there’s just no point. It does nothing for us. 95% of the time all the mundane personal shit is the same as last time we saw them. If anything major comes up or someone is going through some shit, sure we’ll talk about it. but for the most part it’s not interesting.
